Syracuse edge rusher Fadil Diggs is entering his name in the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced on social media Tuesday. Diggs totaled a team-high 7.5 sacks in 2024, his only season with the Orange after transferring from Texas A&M.

It was by far Diggs’ most productive collegiate season, nearly racking up more sacks than he had throughout his Aggies’ career (eight). Diggs also tallied 14 tackles for loss and 45 total tackles, earning an All-Atlantic Coast Conference Honorable Mention at the end of the season.

His most memorable performance with SU came on Oct. 4, when he had a pair of sacks to lead the Orange’s defense in a road win over then-No. 25 UNLV. Diggs was named the National Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts. His best play occurred on Nov. 2 at home versus Virginia Tech, recovering a fumble in overtime to seal an 18-point comeback victory.

Diggs stands at 6-foot-5, 261 pounds, an NFL-ready frame for an edge rusher. But it’s Diggs’ versatility that stands out, as SU defensive coordinator Elijah Robinson asked him to excel from multiple spots this season — from dropping back into the second level as an outside linebacker to working in the interior defensive line.

Diggs is set to participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl on Jan. 30, 2025, along with teammates Kyle McCord, Oronde Gadsden II and Alijah Clark.
